Our Environmental Commitment
Villas Corcovado is a unique destination with a strong dedication to nurturing the native wildlife and caring for the neighboring habitat. An extensive environmental impact study was conducted before the hotel was built in order to protect the land and the animals. We are conscious of the importance of our role to help conserve the environment and to contribute with the well-being of local people. We embrace this task with pride and responsibility.
Location. Flora and Fauna.
Villas Corcovado is strategically located on the Golfo Dulce Forestal Reserve, on the Osa Peninsula, between the Corcovado National Park and Las Esquinas and Piedras Blancas National Parks, which is one of the most biologically diverse natural reserves in the world. A land that forms part of the Biological Mesoamerican Curridor, where you can expect to see a wide variety of species including, macaws, parrots, toucans, monkeys, frogs, snakes, butterflies, pizotes, sloths, eagles, vultures, hawks, tepezcuintles and many more. The vegetation on our reserve includes certain species of trees that are in extinction, such as the Espavel, Ajo and Baco, among others. We also have Cristóbal, Ceder, Guaitil, Gallinazo, and hundreds of banana, pineapple, papayas and mango plants.
